College Magazine Analysis
The cover of my college magazine is quite dreary and plain, if I’m honest at the time of making it I would have preferred to put abit more effort into it to make it more bright and eye-catching, also I haven’t many images or pictures on my front cover as I didn’t want to follow the trend of other magazines like Kerrang (which has lot of pictures and can seem cluttered). I chose the colour’s for the contents page as its quite neutral and it suits the whole ‘education’ theme, also because it’s a neutral background the target audience won’t be set to just 1 gender like some magazines are, the colours for the front cover suit the overall house syle of my college magazine (brick wall, soft – harsh orange colours) It looks quite simple, because it is, most college magazines are and for the price of the magazine I think this would be good. I picked Lewis + Kyle to be the models for the picture on my front cover as they looked quite casual which most college attendee’s do, it made it look as if two standard college students were just hanging about outside college which was the idea and look I was hoping for.
